Responding to Mental Health 2.0

The findings from the CHI 2011 SIG panel are now available on the site. Thanks to a great panel team - Dave Cronin, Bob Schumacher, Michelle Rogers, and Dean Karavite - and over 70 participants, we have an emerging framework of challenges in systemic design to share and work with. Thanks Peter. Glad to be in contact. One of my grad students (Stephanie Adams) got me looped in here. Several students are doing some exciting design research in health care. I'll get them to share thesis work with group.

I'd love to catch up with you since the time when some of the activity with GK dwindled. I'm excited about your current activities up north. And would love to know when you'll be around Ohio region. We'd love to host you in Indianapolis for a visit.

Hi Peter,

Apparently I signed for Design for Care sometime in the past - then forgot I did it. I tried to sign up today only to discover my profile. Whoops? Since my area is architecture (though I also run a tech startup) I am wondering how much this group is aware of the work in evidence based design?

Peter,

I've been lurking on your site for six months and while I'm overwhelmed with so many other datasources, I find your view of things both inspiring and sobering. Nice combination, given the stakes and the challenges we face as health-care designers and researchers.

Take care.

Peter, thanks for "friending" me. I really enjoyed reading your post on care in systems. Very provocative...it's an area of interest for me as it pertains to membership organizations that depend on voluntary engagement. Some of the organizations I work with are in the health care space, so I suppose there is a link there. Anyway, I hope we'll have the chance to chat some point. I'd be very interested in exploring these ideas with you.

All my best,

Jeff
